Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa & Western Illinois

Knox County Illinois Service Area 95 held a Make A Difference Day event where girls from all over the county gathered at Costa School to make birthday cards, decorate gift bags and assemble "birthday party in a bag" kits with cake mix, frosting, candles, invitations, party decorations and favors and a small toy or two. Almost 100 bags were made. The girls also enjoyed decorating and eating cupcakes and playing party games while there. The bags were distributed to local charities to be given to children whose families might find it difficult to give them a birthday party.
