2009 Fall Sale Program

The Fall Sale Program is a great way for troops to earn additional funds to help support troop activities, purchase supplies and materials and participate in Girl Scout events. We are proud to offer troops 25% profit on the sales that they make—this is the highest percentage offered in any Girl Scout council in the country!

What Will Your Troop Do With $237.98?

Did you know that, over the past two years, troops that participated in the Fall Sale Program have earned an average of $237.98 in troop profit? That’s right! What a great way for the girls to start the new year. The Fall Sale Program is a great way for troops to earn additional funds to help support troop activities, purchase supplies and materials and participate in Girl Scout events.

This is a quick and easy sale to participate in and gives your troop a break before the hustle of the holidays and the Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program. Girls will collect money at the time of delivery, rather than when they take the orders.

Information on the candy and nut sale will be coming out through your service unit product manager.

What's New for 2009?

  • 2009 Girl Scout Cadette, Senior and Ambassador (Only) Recognitions Opt-Out Program
We are very excited to be able to, for the first time, offer a Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Fall Sale Program recognitions opt out program. What does this mean? Girls in older girl troops can choose to receive extra profit instead of the recognition line! The really cool aspect of the program is that individual girls in a troop (and not the entire troop) can make this decision! Girls who decide to opt out of receiving recognition items will earn an extra 3% of their total sales in troop profit above the already spectacular 25% profit. That’s 28% troop profit! The theme patch, magazine patch and/or goal setting heart patch may be ordered if earned. Older girls who wish to receive the recognitions may still do so, but will earn the usual 25% of their sales in troop profit.

  • Goal Setting: Reached My Goal
During the 2009 Fall Sale Program setting goals and developing a plan for achieving those goals is a very important aspect of the overall sale program. New this year, girls who complete the Nuts For Knowledge goal setting activity and/or participate in a troop goal setting activity will earn the Reached My Goal heart patch. To participate in the goal setting program, and to print the Nuts For Knowledge goal setting activity sheet and your certificate go to: www.nutsforknowledge.com/goal.asp. Click on the picture of the item you want to print.

  • Troop Level Recognition Program
A troop level recognition program will be offered to recognize Troop Leaders who encourage their girls to reach high-level sales goals and achieve sales excellence. Troop Leaders will receive one Thumball if the troop achieves a per-girl-average of 25 items and one Craft Book if the troop achieves a per-girl-average of 30 items. Items are cumulative; troops who achieve an average of 30 items or more will receive both items (1 Thumball and 1 Craft Book per troop). A troop’s per-girl-average is based on the total combined number of items sold divided by the number of girls participating.

2009 Theme & Mascot
