Girls
Girl Scouts is open to all girls ages 5-17. In Girl Scouts, girls learn the three keys to leadership development: Discover, Connect, and Take Action. Girl Scouts of all ages explore their skills, values and their world; relate to others in a multicultural world; and engage in making a difference in the world.
Girl Scouts are divided into different age-levels:
- Daisy Girl Scouts, grades K-1
- Brownie Girl Scouts, grades 1-3
- Junior Girl Scouts, grades 4-6
- Girls in grades 6-12 experience Girl Scouting through STUDIO 2B.
Age-appropriate activities-designed by girls to meet their changing needs and interests-are offered through a partnership between girls and adults. Girls learn by doing and reflecting on what they have accomplished. Cooperation, teamwork, and compromise are taught through all-girl teams working toward shared goals.
Girls can participate in Girl Scouting through troop meetings, activity centers, or as individuals, called Juliette Girl Scouts. In addition, all registered Girl Scouts can participate in Girl Scout events, attend summer resident camp, and participate in product sales, including the Cookie Sale Program.
