Nomination Process Checklist

All steps much be completed

    1. Candidiate is an active adult member registered with Girl Scouts of the U.S.A.
    2. Has completed appropriate Adult Learning courses for her/ his current position.
    3. The candidate has no product sales debt.
    4. The service performed by the candidate is:
    Appreciation Pin - outstanding, above and beyond the expectations of the position held, has delivered to at least one Service Unit or program audience within the Council's jurisdiction, and contributes to the Council's goals and objectives.
    Honor Pinoutstanding, above and beyond the expectations of the position held, has delivered to at least two Service Units or program audiences within the Council's jurisdiction, and contributes to the Council's goals and objectives.
    Thanks Badgetruly outstanding, benefits the total Council or the entire Girl Scout organization, and is so significantly beyond the expectations that no other award is appropriate.
    Thanks Badge IIa Thanks Badge recipient that continues to perform at the same high level for an extended period of time, has increased their area of influence, or has moved into another area continuing to use their skills. This award might acknowledge outstanding performance that surpasses the earlier achievement. It is a way of saying "thanks again" to an outstanding individual who continually contributes significantly to Girl Scouting.

      1. How has the candidate’s service been outstanding, above and beyond the position? (Ask for a Volunteer Position description if necessary.)
      2. How has the candidate’s service benefited the service unit, program audience or council?
      3. Who has benefited from the candidate’s contribution that makes them stand out from other volunteers?
      4. How has the service provided helped to move the organization towards accomplishing its goals?
