Events to Earn Your Service Hours

One of our volunteer run day camps is looking for program aides to help out!

When: The week of July 11-15, 2011.
Where: The camp will be at West Lake Park in Davenport, IA, Gate 1.
Time: Each day will be from 8:30-4:30 with volunteers present from 8 AM-4 PM.

Program aides will work with adult volunteers to teach the girls on how to prepare their noon time meals; including cooking with a box oven, dutch oven, and stove. They will take them to and from the craft and game areas and assist while the girl are there. They will be taking the girls swimming at the lake located on the property. They will be required to take daily check in and check out as the girls come and go. Each unit is asked to take a day to clean the restrooms and they will also perform a flag ceremony at least once during the week. Assistant unit leaders will help with all of the above.
