Disaster Preparedness Series

Disaster Preparedness Series Storm Chaser, Eddy Weiss is coming to a city near you, and you are not going to want to miss it! "Be Prepared" has been the motto for Girl Scouts since 1917, and with so many recent natural disasters, teaching girls the skilled needed to be prepared is as important as ever. GSEIWI has teamed up with the weather education organization Chasing 4 Life to hold a series of events to teach your girls all they need to know during severe weather and other disasters.

Throughout winter and into spring, Eddy Weiss will be traveling to Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, The Quad Cities and Burlington spreading his message about weather and being prepared for anything through a series of 4 fun sessions! Girls and parents alike love his interactive speaking style and the way he relates to young people. This fall he took his message to the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana and spoke to sold out crowds!

The series will include 4 fantastic interactive events:

Best Program in Years!

We received a call from the mother of a daughter who attended one of our first Disaster Preparedness Series sessions. The mother wanted to let everyone know that they thought it was the best program they have attended in years! Her daughter can't wait for the next one.
